Dr. Copeland has been a valued member of Cardiology Physicians, PA since July 2014, offering advanced expertise in interventional cardiology and a deep commitment to patient care within the Delaware community he has always called home.

Dr. Copeland began his medical journey in Radiologic Technology before earning his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Neumann University in December 2000. He then went on to attend the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at Christiana Care Health System from 2006 to 2009. Recognized for his leadership, he was selected to serve as Chief Resident for an additional year.

He began his Cardiology Fellowship at Christiana Care the following year and was appointed Chief Cardiology Fellow from 2012 to 2013. He then pursued an additional year of fellowship training focused on Interventional Cardiology, further developing his procedural expertise.

Dr. Copeland is board certified in both general and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests include coronary intervention, and he has a particular focus on the treatment of aortic stenosis using transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). He has presented and published several abstracts and manuscripts in both general and interventional cardiology.

His dedication to patient care and collaboration has earned him several accolades, including Physician Ambassador for the Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit and Nurse-Physician Partner awards in both 2012 and 2013. In 2019, he was honored as one of Delaware’s Top Doctors by Delaware Today.

Dr. Copeland was born and raised in Delaware, where he continues to reside with his wife and their three children. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, relaxing at the beach, and coaching youth soccer. He’s also a passionate college football fan and proudly supports Philadelphia’s professional sports teams.
